ABOUT ME

I am married and the father of 2 boys, 17 and 20. I reside in

Oak Park, Michigan, just outside of Detroit. I graduated from

Clark University, received an MSW from Washington University in

St. Louis, and a PhD in Existential and Clinical Psychology from

Union Institute in Cincinnati. I have extensive experience working

with adolescents and families. I also have some expertise, both

personally and professionally in the treatment of substance abuse,

addiction, and alcoholism. I have written a blog expressing some of

my ideas in this area. Check it out if you have a few minutes and feel free to leave your feedback. Psychotherapy, the best I can see, is

idiosyncratic. It is not so much the approach of the therapist, but the

person that therapist is, and how they can make sense of your world

and relate it to you in a manner that is helpful, not hurtful.
